Mario DeMaria Obituary

Mario Anthony DeMaria, 57, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2019 with his loving family by his side.  Born in Jersey City,  he resided in Bayonne for the past 42 years.

Mario was a self employed master carpenter for many years who took tremendous pride in his work serving the Hudson County community.  In his spare time he worked as a chauffeur for the Regency Limousine Service in Bayonne.

Mario was an avid dart and pool player and was notorious for "strutting his stuff" at Danny Boys Corner Lounge where he was best known there for dominating his opponents. With his own distinct and unique style, he was a self taught musician with a natural born talent for playing the guitar.

A longtime collector of autographs, music and movie memorabilia, Mario’s collectables lined just about every inch of wall space in his home.

Although not physically with us anymore, Mario left his imprint in the lives of those he treasured the most. He loved deeply and lived to help others no matter what the situation was. He was a mentor to many children and the go to person to many others.  His memory will live on through his valuable advice and the life lessons he shared.  He will be forever missed by all who admired and respected him.

Mario was predeceased by his father Angelo DeMaria and  his step-father John Bertotti; and his mother-in-law Louise (Denino) and his father-in-law Noel Doherty.  He was the devoted husband to Nancy L. DeMaria (nee: Burns) and proud father to four sons, Eric, Michael, Angelo, and Vincent and his loving mother Elizabeth (McCabe) Also survived by one sister,  Alnona and husband Bill; one brother Marc; eight nieces and nephews, Danielle, Nikki, Jayda, Jolee, Anthony, Kyle, Alex, and Katlyn, and two sisters, in law, Keli and her husband Jimi Youngblood and Judy Burns.

As per Mario’s wishes, cremation was private.
