MaryAnn Bujnowski Obituary

MaryAnn Bujnowski (nee: Kleschinsky) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 2, 2022.

MaryAnn worked at the Bayonne Naval Base for many years before pursuing her dream of becoming a homemaker and starting a big family.  She met and married the love of her life, Thomas Bujnowski, and together they raised their six children in the same happy home where she was also born and raised.

Nothing brought MaryAnn greater pride than watching her family flourish under her guidance and wisdom.  She took tremendous joy in showering her grandchildren and great-grandchild with unending love, praise and playtime along with many priceless moments dancing with them to her favorite Polka tunes.

Known for her deep and unwavering devotion to God and her faith, MaryAnn was a lifelong parishioner and choir member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Bayonne.  She appreciated life's simple pleasures such as taking weekly walks to the Bayonne Public Library and reading in her quiet time.
MaryAnn's wonderful legacy will forever be engrained in the hearts of her family and those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Predeceased by parents, Anna & Michael Kleschinsky, and two brothers, William and Michael.  Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 63 years, Thomas Bujnowski, her loving children, Patricia, Laura, Mark, Matthew, Christopher and his wife Pauline, Timothy and his wife Susan, and her adored grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Tyler, Matthew, Christopher, Lauren, Nikolai, Olivia, Ava, Gia, Lukas, and Thomas and great-granddaughter, Kailey.

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski and Son Funeral Home, 20 East 22nd Street, Bayonne on Sunday, February 6th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.  Relatives and friends are asked to assemble at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Bayonne, 15 East 26th Street, Bayonne on Monday, February 7, at 10:15 am for a funeral mass in MaryAnn's honor.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

It is respectfully asked that all visitors immediately exit the funeral home after briefly paying their respects so that others may have the same opportunity.  As per the family's request, please refrain from any physical contact and wear a face covering before entering the funeral home.

Mother

God took the fragrance of a flower...
The majesty of a tree...
The gentleness of morning dew...
The calm of a quiet sea...
The beauty of the twilight hour...
The soul of a starry night...
The laughter of a rippling brook...
The grace of a bird in flight...
Then God fashioned from these things
A creation like no other,
And when his masterpiece was through,
He simply called it Mother.
