Milagros Asturias (nee: Zara) entered into eternal rest peacefully at home on Saturday, May 16, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in the Philippines, Milagros settled in Bayonne many years ago where she and her husband proudly raised their family. She worked as a certified nursing assistant for the Atrium Post Acute Care of Wayne.
In her leisure time she enjoyed going to Atlantic City, taking long walks and spending time with her family playing Bingo.
Milagros had a unique and special bond with each of her children and especially treasured her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Her kind and compassionate spirit is what most will remember and her unending love for her family and her deep faith in God will be her lasting legacy.
Milagros is now reunited with her dearly beloved husband, Augusto, and her parents, Roman and Cresteta Zara. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Laurice Wojtowicz and husband Gregory, Heidi Tiozon and husband Francis and Leslie Asturias, her son Romano Asturias and wife Kristine, her ten adored grandchildren, and her brothers and sisters, Manuel Zara Ofelia Z. Hernandez, Lolito M. Zara, Romualdo M. Zara, Emelita Z. Sangalang, Fe Z. Ballarta, Engrande M. Zara, and Mario M. Zara.
FOR EVERY BURDEN
For every burden that we bear,
For every sorrow, every care,
There’s a reason
For every grief that bows the head,
For every tear-drop that is shed,
There’s a reason
For every hurt, for every plight,
For every lonely painracked night,
There’s a reason
But if we trust in God as we should,
All must work out for our good,
He knows the reason.
Cremation will be private.
