Nidia M Labandeira

The family of Nidia M. Labandeira announces her peaceful passing on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  Born in Ginebra Valle, Colombia, Nidia came to the United States in 1971 and resided in Bayonne.

Nidia had a passion for sewing and design and channeled her creativity through her years of work as a skilled seamstress.  With a love for cooking, her home was a welcoming place that was always filled with warmth and laughter. 

Nidia's greatest enjoyment in life was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she took tremendous pride in.

Predeceased by parents, Ventura and Eufemia (Garcia) Saavedra.  Left to cherish her memory are her children, Edgar Reyes (Ezperanza), Maritza Reyes (Thomas A.), Nidia Saavedra (Rodrigo A.), Jamie A. Reyes (Janeth); grandchildren, Daniel, Tatiana, Paola, Christian, Katelyn, and James; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jayla, Juliana, and Gabriel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a prayer service at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Friday, March 18, at 9:30 a.m., officiated by Fr. Lukasz Kleczka, of St. John Paul II Parish, followed by visiting hours from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.  Entombment will be held at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Us Highway 1 Woodbridge, NJ.
