Osvaldo Torres entered into eternal rest peacefully on March 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Osvaldo made his home in Bayonne for the past 40 years. As a tank cleaning technician at EQ North Industries in Bayonne, he dedicated over 28 years to his work, demonstrating professionalism and expertise.
Osvaldo's life was defined by his undeniable love for his family. He was more than just a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, he was a cornerstone of support for everyone around him. As an inspiring mentor to his nieces and nephews, he guided them with strong moral values, emphasizing the importance of integrity, compassion, and unity. His positive influence transformed their lives, creating unbreakable bonds they will cherish forever.
Osvaldo eagerly looked forward to his annual trips back to Puerto Rico each Christmas season, where he spent time with his extended family and friends, enjoying the warmth and happiness of being together. In his free time, he listened to classic country songs and the lively essence of Spanish music and dance.
Osvaldo was predeceased by his father, Angel Torres-Maldonado. He is survived by his beloved mother, Rosa Julia Baez-Ramos; his sister, Enid Torres and her husband Felix Ortiz; his brothers, Angel Ivan Torres-Baez and his wife Martha Diaz, Raymond Torres-Baez; his nieces and nephews, Yajaira Carvajal and her husband, Scott Mitchell, and their children Ariazyia Cruz and Angelica Mitchell; Yaritza Soto and her husband, Jason, and their children Avery Jenkins, Aniyah Soto, and Adriana Soto; Yarelis Carvajal and her children Yean Carlos-Torres and Marjorie Torres; and his nephew Jose Carvajal; his fiancé, Debbie Diaz, and their two granddaughters Anaisha Melendez, Carley Borroto, step-daughter Ashley Ayala, and Fernando Reyes, as well as his niece and nephew in Puerto Rico, Desiree Torres-Diaz and Angel Antonio Torres-Diaz.
Osvaldo will be profoundly missed and remembered for his kindness, guidance, and the lasting connections he created. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home. Services in Puerto Rico will conducted under the direction of the Borinquen Memorial Funeral Home, followed by burial at Borinquen Memorial Parks Cemetery in Caguas, Puerto Rico, where Osvaldo will be laid to rest.
