Patricia Rita Crescenzo

Patricia Rita Crescenzo, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Bayonne Medical Center.  Born in Jamaica Queens, NY, she resided in Bayonne for the past 60 years before settling in North Brunswick 10 years ago.

Patricia was employed as a manager for Quick Check in Bayonne, a position she held for many years.  Prior to that, she worked as a head teller for the Trust Company of New Jersey.

Nothing could compare to the pride Patricia felt for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved and adored.

Patricia was an avid reader and a master at crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed listening to the tunes of her favorite singers, Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.  

Patricia was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband, Alphonse (in 1992) and her brothers, Arthur, Peter, and James Dunne. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cynthia Crescenzo and her husband Paul Paradiso, Theresa Crescenzo-Polera and her husband, Nicholas, Suzanne Reisen and her husband, Travis, Alphonse and Michael Crescenzo; grandchildren, Scott, Krystle, Cody, Nicholas, Joseph, Steven, and TJ; great-grandchildren, Patrick and Katelynn.

A walk through Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home.  Cremation was privately held.

The funeral home occupancy will be limited to 25 people at a time to adhere to safety protocols.  It is respectfully asked that visitors wear a face covering and maintain social distance during visitation hours.  There will be a hands-free sanitizing station at the front door entrance.  

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.”

He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.”
