Paul Jablonski Obituary

Paul A. Jablonski, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Bayonne Medical Center.

Born on Staten Island, NY, Paul moved to Bayonne many years ago where he has since resided.  He was employed by both the Book Sales Inc., in Secaucus, and the Emerson Picture Tube Corp., in Jersey City.   The next several years Paul continued to stay busy working for Garden State News in Bayonne until becoming permanently disabled.  Despite his health challenges through the years, he did his best to remain optimistic.

He was content relaxing at home listening to some of his favorite country music songs and never missed watching an episode of The Voice and America's Got Talent.  He had a lifelong fascination with classic cars and also enjoyed testing his luck playing the lottery and doing his daily scratch-off tickets where most times he came out a winner.

Paul was predeceased by his parents, Paul Anthony Sr., and Nellie (nee: Klosawski) Jablonski.  Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Marion Johnson (Bernard), son, Joseph Jablonski; his grandson, Dylan Jablonski and his mother Rashna, two sisters, Patricia Jablonski and Harriet Dunne (Edward); nieces and nephews, Richard, Mathew, Dawn (Michael) and Kelly (Jay) and their children, Jackson and Maverick; his grandnieces and grandnephews, Marlow, Cooper, Connor, and Makenna Graham; and his dear friend, Antoinette Fisher Rodriquez and her son, John. and his former wife, Ruth.

Cremation will be private.  A memorial mass in Paul's honor will be officiated by Fr. Lukasz Kleczka, of St. John Paul II Parish (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church), on January 26, 2022 at 11:00 p.m.  His ashes will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

       Safely Home

            I am home in heaven, dear ones;
            Oh so happy and so bright!
            There is perfect joy and beauty
            In this everlasting light.

                All the pain and grief is over,
            Every restless tossing passed;
            I am now at peace forever,
            Safely home in heaven at last.

            Did you wonder how I so calmly
            Trod the valley of the shade?
            Oh, but Jesus' love illumined
            Every dark and fearful glade.

            And he came himself to meet me
            In that way so hard to tread;
            And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
            Could I have one doubt or dread?

            Then you must not grieve so sorely,
            For I love you dearly still;
            Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
            Pray to trust our Father's will.

            There is work still waiting for you,
            So you must not idly stand;
            Do it now, while life remains,
            You shall rest in Jesus' land.

                When that work is all completed,
            He will gently call you home;
            Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
            Oh, the joy to see you come!
