Robert J. Lapinski, also known as "Bob," passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Bayonne Medical Center.
After graduation, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War from 1971 to 1976. Following his military service, he worked as a warehouseman for Airflyte Electronics in Bayonne and later at Shoprite, where he advanced to produce manager.
Bob was a lifelong resident of Bayonne and a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. He was also a lifetime member of the Mt. Carmel Lyceum, where he participated in the Intra Club Bowling League. When it came to his much-deserved leisure time, Bob enjoyed indulging in his passion for photography and meeting up with his Mt. Carmel Lyceum fellow members for a good game of cards on a Friday night.
As we say goodbye to Bob, we celebrate a life well-lived. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his beloved family and those fortunate enough to have known him.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Edward and Mary Joan (Siwiec) Lapinski; his aunts, Franciszka and Anne; and uncles, Joseph, John, Stanley, Michael, Charles, and Edward Siwiec. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Maryann Bryant, and her husband Richard; his niece, Kristyn Bryant; nephew, David Joseph Bryant and his wife Deborah Lynn; his grandnieces, Brooklyn Hannah Bryant, Kinsley Lily Bryant, and grandnephew, Jackson David Bryant; and his aunt Helen Roszkowski.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, August 22, from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in Bob's honor at 11:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment with military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
LOVE LIVES ON
Those we love remain with us,
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one's gone. . .
Those we love can never
be more than a thought apart,
or as long as there is memory,
they'll live on in the heart.
