Santo (Sonny) Tricoli, 79, of Bayonne, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. “Sonny” as he was affectionately known by all, was born in Buffalo, New York and has resided in Bayonne for most of his life.
He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War holding the rank of Airman Second Class. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a manager for the GTK Duplications Company in Jersey City, a position he held for many years. Sonny was a devoted and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched throughout the years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church and the Catholic War Veterans Post 1612 of Bayonne.
Sonny was predeceased by his first wife, Mary S. Duquette in 1990; his parents, Frank and Laura (Romando) Tricoli, and his brothers, Philip, Russell, Michael, and Frank Tricoli. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Maureen Tricoli; Michele M. Tricoli; Christine V. Tricoli; Wendy J. Tricoli-Mims and her husband Daryl; his son Frank R. Tricoli; his second wife Blanca Tricoli; his sister Marie Komorowski; eight grandchildren, Valerie, John, Andrew, Christopher, Gina, Gabriella, Anna Maria, and Alyssa; Also survived by five great-grandchildren and two soon to be.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 9, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral mass in Sonny’s honor will be offered on Wednesday, May 10, at 10:00 am at St. John Paul II Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne. Interment with military honors will take place at the General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
