Waclaw Chojnowski, age 89, of Bayonne, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020, with his loving family by his side. Born in Poland, Waclaw emigrated to the United States in 1991 where he resided for the past 29 years in Bayonne.
Waclaw will be remembered as a man of deep faith and strong family values. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of over 50 years, the late Marianna (Gromadzka) Chojnowski, who passed away in 2018; predeceased by parents, Antoni and Aleksandra (Kurpiewska) Chojnowski; sisters, Stanislawa Macko, Aleksandra Spizarna, and Maria Sarnacka, and one brother Stanislaw Chojnowski,
Left to cherish his memory are his children and their spouses, Boguslawa Rudnicka (Slawomir), Ewa Maciejewska (Slawomir), Hanna Filipkowski (Wieslaw), Mieczyslaw Chojnowski (Barbara), and Krzystof Chojnowski (Agnieszka) 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A walk through visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Monday, November 23, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. There will be a hands-free sanitizing station at the front door entrance. Please be sure to arrive with a face covering.
A funeral mass in Polish will be held in Waclaw's honor on Tuesday, November 24, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish, officiated by the Rev. Lukasz Kleczka. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pa.
