Wilfredo was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, on June 23, 1953, to parents Jose and Carmen Perez.

Above all, Wilfredo took tremendous pride in his family and his love for them was unwavering.  He felt especially enriched and filled with immeasurable joy when it came to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured the quality time they spent together.  Wilfredo will be missed beyond measure, but his wonderful legacy will live on through his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents, Jose and Carmen.  Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tasha Perez, Alisha Perez Diaz, Christine Perez, Wilfredo Perez Jr., Joseph Perez, Christopher Perez, two stepdaughters Clarice Saez Harley, Desiree Burns, his adored grandchildren, Bryson Jefferson, Siearra Battle, Landen Perez, Alina Perez, Sarize Perez, Eli Perez, Kylie Perez, Noah Perez, Cayden Perez, Zenaicee Perez, Kalicee Perez, Tyron Sanchez, Jakolbee Diaz, Damaris Marti, Michael Harley, and great-grandchildren, Josiah Sanchez, Messiah Sanchez, Khaliea Diaz.

“To laugh often and love much;

to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

to appreciate beauty;

to find the best in others;

to give of one’s self;

to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child,

a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;

to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;

to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.”
