Wladyslaw Mickiewicz, a beloved husband, father, brother, Dziadek, and friend, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Bayonne Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Poland, Wladyslaw immigrated to the United States in 1991. For 34 years, he made Bayonne his home, leaving a lasting impact as a skilled carpenter with Marek's & Son Construction. He was the go-to handyman at home and had a unique talent for fixing and repairing anything that needed attention.
Wladyslaw took great joy in his leisurely walks with his wife through their neighborhood, where his warm and friendly personality created meaningful connections with those around him.
Wladyslaw was predeceased by his parents and sister. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 59 years, Longina (Wojtasik) Mickiewicz, and their three sons: Adam and his wife, Slawomira; Marek and his wife, Suzann; and Slawomir; his adored grandchildren, David, Marek Jr., Julia, Olivia, and Nel; and great-grandchildren, Wiktoria and Nikodem.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1st, from 10:00 to 11:45 AM. A funeral mass in Polish in Wladyslaw's honor will be offered at 12:00 noon at St. John Paul II Parish (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church), 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne. Cremation will be private.
