Zita C. (Concepcion) Vila

Zita C. Vila (Concepcion) passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Havana, Cuba, she immigrated to the United States in 1980, making Bayonne her home for 15 years. She dedicated many years of service at St. Francis Hospital before her retirement.

Zita found relaxation and contentment on the beautiful sandy beaches of Havana, Cuba, with its clear blue waters and warm breezes. She also found delight at the shores of New Jersey, enjoying the lively boardwalk and the refreshing ocean air. In her leisure time, she took joy in socializing with her close friends and sharing laughter and stories together. 

Above all, Zita was known for her unwavering love and support for her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored immensely and watching them grow. All who knew her will deeply miss her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit.

Zita was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband, Guillermo Suarez Torres (deceased in 2000). Left to cherish her memory are her son Guillermo M. Torres and his wife, Elizabete Ferreira-Torres; two grandchildren, Matthew and Kristian Torres; her boyfriend, Oscar Peralta, and one brother, Pepe.

The Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home held a private visitation for family only. Interment was held at Rosedale Memorial Park in Linden, NJ.
